BROOKFIELD – A longtime church minister will seek the Progressive Conservative nomination in Colchester–Musquodoboit Valley for the next provincial election.

Rev. Larry Harrison has been a United Church minister for the past 41 years and currently leads congregations at Knox United Church in Brookfield and Middle Stewiacke United Church.

In addition, he is a long-standing spiritual support worker with palliative care at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre and serves as chaplain of the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Department.

“I have spent my career serving the communities of this constituency, and I feel the time is right for me to continue this service on a new level,” said Harrison in a news release.

I am very pleased to hear this news. Larry is an honest, dedicated man who will not let the pressures of politics ruin his reputation. This will actually be someone who does something for the people. Not just make promises that will never be kept. You have my 100% support!
