Truro Music Heritiage Society seeking funding for 50-year reunion

TRURO – A funding request by the Truro Music Heritage Society for $1,000 has been approved in principle by Colchester County council committee.

The request is to receive full approval at next week’s council meeting as council committee can only make recommendations.

The request is for an event being held in August 2014 but advance approval for the municipal funding request is required in order for the society to receive support for a federal grant application of $100,000.

The event in question is the 50-year reunion of the Truro and Area School Band Program.
