Due to poor weather conditions the African Heritage Month Launch in Truro is cancelled for Monday. Organizers are currently working on a new date for the launch.

 

TRURO- Classes at several schools in the region have been cancelled today because of poor weather.

The Chignecto Central Regional School Board has closed all of its schools in East Hants, Colchester, Cumberland and Pictou Counties and the Colchester Christian Academy, on Elm Street in Truro is also closed.

The Nova Scotia Community College Truro campus has also cancelled classes for today.

As many people begin digging out after last nights snowfall, early weather predictions for today indicate an additional five to 10 cm of snow mixed at times with freezing rain.

A freezing rain warning has been issued for the Truro area.
