The Town of Truro's Parks, Recreation and Culture department cancelled the coasting event, which was to take place at the Francophone Centre at 2 p.m.
There will still be skating for the entire family, however, at the Colchester Legion Stadium from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at a special festival price of $5 per family.
A snowfall warning is in effect for Colchester County - Truro and south for Sunday, with Environment Canada predicting 20 to 40 centimetres of snow for the area by Monday afternoon.
