Funding for curling championship approved

TRURO – Colchester County Council has approved a $500 funding request for the 2013 Provincial Men’s Curling Championships to be held in Truro.

The championship runs from Feb 5 to 10 and will bring seven teams from outside the area, in addition to one local team.

The money is to come from the municipality’s Economic Development Grant Fund.
