Some Colchester roads still covered by snow; slippery conditions

TRURO - Any motorists hitting the roads in the county should do so carefully as a number are still covered in snow.

With fluffy snow falling overnight, the Colchester RCMP responded to a number of motor vehicle collisions, including two Thursday morning.

The most recent collision was on Highway 104 near Riverside/Riverdale when the driver of a sedan lost control and struck a guardrail. No serious injuries were reported.

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal reports that Highway 102 is partly covered, as is the 104 from Truro and Onslow toward Pictou County. Highways 311, 236, 289 and 2, as well as the Trans Canada from Onslow to Glenholme are covered.

    our roadways in SOUTH COLCHESTER are now being serviced by MIDDLE MUSQ GARAGE,,,HOW FAR DOWN THE pecking order DO YOU THINK WE HAVE DROPPED ,,,I just hate the thought of having to travel these roads that get very little salt and plowing..THANK MR.DEXTER,,YOU WILL NEVER GET OUR VOTE AGAIN...you are ruining our province..
