In addition to offering a full range of pharmacy services and products, pharmacist Peter Bakes said in a news release the store will also be providing a variety of health screenings and information days throughout the year.
Some of the topics for such sessions will include: blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, body mass, osteoporosis, breast cancer, and others. The events are open to the public and Bakes encourages anyone who is looking for answers to a variety of common and, not so common, health questions to drop by.
"By choosing not to sell cosmetics, magazines, groceries and postage stamps,” he said, “I am able to focus on your healthcare needs."
The pharmacy is located near the Sears entrance.
An existing Medicine Shoppe on Willow Street is separately owned and also remains in operation.
