TRURO – The seventh annual Colchester SPCA pet photo contest is underway.

Photos will be used to make SPCA 2014 calendars. All photos must have only pets in them and holiday themed photos are encouraged. Every clear picture received will be in the calendar.  The winners of each month will have the large full-page picture and runners up will be thumb-nailed pictures  along the side. All other pictures will be in the collage inside the back cover.

Judging will be done by the Truro Imagemakers Photography Club and winners will receive a free 8x10 enlargement and a free copy of the calendar.

Pictures need to be 3x5 or 4x6. Participants must write their pet’s name, the owner’s name, e-mail address, full mailing address and phone number on a piece of paper, which should be attached to the photo. The cost of each picture is $5 and the deadline for entries is April 20.

Mail submissions to the SPCA shelter at PO Box 914, 408 Industrial Ave., Truro N.S.  B2N-5G7. Pictures can also be dropped off at the shelter.
