A ‘Sixty Mile’ supper

TATAMAGOUCHE – As many ingredients as possible will be sourced from a 60-mile radius of this community for a sequel to last year’s ‘Incredible Community Supper.’

The ‘Sixty Mile’ supper will feature all things pork, including a raffle of 25 pounds of pork purchased from Twin Oaks Farm.

The menu for the Feb. 10 supper at Sharon United Church will include split pea soup, Meadowbrook ham with scalloped potatoes, winter vegetables, homemade bread, dessert, tea and coffee. A vegetarian option will also be available.

There will be two sittings: a 4 p.m. at $15 each or 6 p.m. for $20. Pre-ordered takeout ($15) will be available for pick up from 12 to 1 p.m.

Net proceeds will go to the North Shore Rec Centre, Tatamagouche and Area Minor Hockey Association and the Tatamagouche Skating Club.

Raffle tickets on the pork are $2 each or three for $5.

Employees with Scotiabank Tatamagouche will be on hand as extra volunteers, with the bank matching the proceeds of up to $5,000.

Tickets are available at Scotiabank Tatamagouche or C.G. Fulton Pharmacy.
