HALIFAX – The Nova Scotia Talent Trust would like to remind all potential applicants that its deadline dates for 2013 are fast approaching.

The NSTT advises applicants to read the submission guidelines carefully since there are a number of changes for submission procedures this year.

If applicants are mailing their application from outside of Canada, the deadline date is two weeks earlier.

For spring/summer study, applicants applying from outside Canada must submit and have their applications postmarked by Feb. 15. For fall/winter study, applications must be postmarked by April 17.

For all applications being mailed within Canada, the deadline for spring/summer study is March 1, and the deadline for fall/winter study has been changed this year to May 1.

All applications must be submitted and postmarked by these dates.

For more information, or to download application and reference forms, go to www.nstalenttrust.ns.ca, or call the NSTT at 492-6801.

The Nova Scotia Talent Trust is a not-for-profit registered charity that provides scholarships to Nova Scotians who are interested in furthering their education in the arts in theatre, dance, music, media, film, literary, and visual arts, fine craft and design.

The NSTT is supported by the Nova Scotia Department of Communities, Culture and Heritage, RBC Emerging Artists Program, the Craig Foundation, ImmediaC, Music Nova Scotia, Theatre Nova Scotia, Visual Arts Nova Scotia, CNSLC, Medicine in Music and Debut Atlantic.  Since 1944, the NSTT has assisted over 1,900 Nova Scotians with awards totaling over $1.8 million.
