TRURO – Students interested in furthering their education in the arts can still apply for Nova Scotia Talent Trust (NSTT) scholarships, but the deadlines are fast approaching.
Those in theatre, dance, music, media, film, literary, and visual arts, fine craft and design can apply.
Applicants should read the submission guidelines carefully because there are a number of changes for submission procedures this year.
If applicants are mailing their application from outside of Canada, the deadline date is two weeks earlier. For spring/summer study, applicants applying from outside Canada must submit and have their applications postmarked by Feb. 15. For fall/winter study, applications must be postmarked by April 17.
For all applications being mailed within Canada, the deadline for spring/summer study is March 1, and the deadline for fall/winter study has been changed this year to May 1.
All applications must be submitted and postmarked by these dates.
For more information, or to download application and reference forms, go to www.nstalenttrust.ns.ca, or call (902) 492-6801.
Since 1944, the NSTT has assisted more than 1,900 Nova Scotians, including a number of Colchester County residents, with awards totalling more than $1.8 million.
