TRURO – A week-long festival celebrating winter is returning to Truro.
The annual Truro Winter Long John Festival will take place from Feb. 3 to 9 and features both indoor and outdoor activities designed to get the public active.
Cathy vonKintzel, with the town’s Parks, Recreation and Culture Department, said activities such as coasting, indoor and outdoor skating, a movie, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are among the events that will be offered.
In addition, area residents and businesses are encouraged to decorate their properties according to the winter theme and turn their Christmas lights back on for the week of the festival.
