WALLACE - No injuries were sustained when the Wallace Ultramar caught on fire Friday afternoon.

According to Wallace District Volunteer Fire Department's Chief Glenn Jamieson, the business was "full of smoke" when firefighters arrived on scene at about 2 p.m.

Jamieson said the cause of the blaze, which resulted in "a lot of smoke and water damage" was unknown. He added it "doesn't look" like it was suspicious and the fire marshal is investigating.

About 30 firefighters from Wallace, Tatamagouche and Pugwash were on scene for about two hours.
