BIBLE HILL – Six people were arrested by the Colchester RCMP General Investigation Section on Tuesday in connection with break and enters which took place at two churches earlier this month.

Those arrested included three youths and three adults. All have been released from custody.

On Dec. 8 and Dec. 9, the United Church in Mill Village and St. Andrew's Church in Stewiacke were broken into. A large amount of property including computers, heirlooms and audio/video equipment were stolen from both churches.

An investigation between Colchester and East Hants RCMP identified several suspects believed responsible and has resulted in the recovery of over $5,000 of the stolen property so far. It is ongoing and the recovery of further stolen property is anticipated.
