STEWIACKE – Southbound traffic on Highway 102 was brought to a virtual standstill for a period Monday afternoon following a three-vehicle accident near Exit 11.

An RCMP spokesman said the standstill occurred when an ambulance and two other vehicles were involved in a crash on a bridge during a snowy period Monday afternoon.

Traffic was initially reduced to one lane until police stopped traffic entirely to allow for the safe removal of the vehicles.

No injuries were reported and there was no patient in the ambulance at the time of the accident.

RCMP are reminding motorists to use caution as some road surfaces, such as bridges, may be very slippery.
