TRURO – The final step to moving into Colchester County's new hospital is underway.

Patients from Colchester Regional Hiospital are now being moved to the new Colchester East Hants Health Centre, located off Abenaki Road. Emergency Health Services crews are moving the 89 patients.

Motorists are asked to avoid using Willow Street, if possible, to allow crews easier passage from old hospital to new.

The moves started at 9 a.m. and are expected to continue until about 4:30 p.m.
