Jackie Johnston, marketing manager with Strathallen Property Management Inc., is excited about what’s in store.
“We’re always looking for new options for our customers, so to have Bizou join us is a good fit,” Johnston said about the new ladies fashion jewelry store that opened its doors on Thursday.
Along with Bizou, customers to the mall will soon see Medicine Shoppe opening up just when walking in the mall entrance between Sears and Payless ShoeSource.
The store will be locally owned, with more than 500 square feet of space. It’s expected to open in December.
While the news of Zellers closing in March has already been announced, Athlete’s World is facing closure at the end of January after Canadian Tire, who took over the Forzani Group in May of 2011, announced this past May it was closing all Athlete’s World stores in Canada.
Jungle Jim’s, which occupies an exterior space and entrance, is currently closed for renovations. It closed Nov. 19 and should re-open by the end of the month.
