School board re-elects chairwoman and vice-chairman

TRURO - Chignecto-Central Regional School Board will continue to be led by familiar faces.

The 17 members of CCCRSB, recently chosen during the municipal elections, were sworn in on Wednesday night. The board re-elected Trudy Thompson as chairwoman and Keith MacKenzie as vice-chairman. Thompson has served in the chair's position since 2005, while MacKenzie has served as vice-chairman since 2004.

Re-Election of the old boys club simply mean status quo will continue. More mismanagement of funds, cutting staff and program instead of dealing with waste and stop catering to unions. These guy have laid of Librarians cut program yet paid thousands to fertilize soccer fields and lawns. If the adage we get the governance we deserve, then what did the children of Colchester / Truro do to deserve the same old guard.
