Cadet open house Saturday in Truro

TRURO - An open house and fun day is being hosted by the Truro army cadets Saturday.

The event is being held as part of National Cadet Day and other local cadet corps, as well as the navy league cadets, have also been invited.

A variety of activities are planned throughout the day and anyone interested in checking out the cadet program is encouraged to stop by.

The age group for navy league cadets is 9 to 12, while the ages for army, sea and air cadets is 12 to 18 years. There are no fees to join.

The open house is set to run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Truro Armouries on Willow Street.
