TRURO - A Truro man has been ordered to spend 14 days in jail after breaching the terms of his conditional sentencing order.

Steven Gordon Miller, 40, of 182 Kent Rd., was placed on the CSO in June after failing to adhere to an initial probation order (for theft-related charges) that prohibited him from drinking.

On Aug. 20, however, when Miller reported to his probation officer for a scheduled meeting, he was given a random drug test, which subsequently showed that he had ingested marijuana.

Miller later admitted to his probation officer that he had used both marijuana and alcohol on Aug. 18. It was also later determined that on Oct. 19, he had entered a liquor store on Pictou Road in Bible Hill.

Under the terms of his conditional sentencing order, Miller was prohibited from using illicit drugs or alcohol and was ordered to remain away from establishments where alcohol is sold.
