Earltown furniture designer nominated for art award

EARLTOWN - Furniture designer Jonathan Otter will find out today if he's the winner of the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia Masterworks Arts Award.

The award, which sees Otter competing with four others, is worth $25,000. The winner will be announced today at the seventh annual Creative Nova Scotia Awards being held at the Brewery Market in Halifax.

The four artists who don't win the $25,000 will each receive $3,000.

Tickets for the event are still available. They are $20 and can be purchased online at www.creativenovascotia.com.
