Local cadets collecting food on Halloween

TRURO - Cadets with the 2928 Truro Army Cadet Squadron will once again be collecting non-perishable food items on Halloween.

The cadets will be going door-to-door in some downtown neighbourhoods collecting the food in support of the Colchester Food Bank.

Last year was the first year for the initiative and cadets collected enough to fill the back of a truck. Their goal this year is to surpass last year's collection.

Anyone wishing to donate a non-perishable food item can also drop it off at the Truro Armouries on Oct. 31 between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m.
