BIBLE HILL - The British Home Children and Descendants Association is celebrating 10 years this weekend.
On Saturday, the association is hosting a day with a guest speaker, presentations and a free lunch.
The event begins with registration at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Bible Hill Junior High School. Registration continues throughout the day.
At 10:30 a.m., Reginald Corns, a city councilor in Birmingham, England, and former resident of Middlemore Emigration Homes, will begin as the guest speaker, with a second part beginning at 2 p.m.
A cake will be cut at noon, with lunch and a group photo being taken.
A short business meeting and election of officers will start at 1:30 p.m. before Corns starts part two of his presentation.
Starting at 3:30 p.m., anyone representing a home child may tell their story to the crowd.
