DARTMOUTH - A 36-year-old Bible Hill man has been convicted of three sex-related charges.

Scott Vincent Dow was found guilty of one count of committing an indecent act by masturbating in public and two counts of invitation to sexual touching. Not guilty findings were made on two charges of sexual assault.

Dow was charged following a January 2010 incident in Dartmouth that saw him expose himself to two girls while driving his vehicle in the north end.

Judge Alanna Murphy announced the charges after Dow stood trial last spring. She was scheduled to deliver her verdict in June when Dow's brother came forward with additional information and ended up testifying for the crown.

Dow is to return for sentencing on Jan. 21 and faces mandatory jail time.

Conditions of his recognizance require him to stay away from parks, playgrounds and other places children frequent. He's not to associate with anyone under the age of 16, except for his son as approved by a family court judge.

Conditions also include not consuming drugs or alcohol and not to possess any weapons.
