TRURO – Anyone wanting to share in the fight against bullying should head out to Victoria Park Friday evening.

TRURO - An anti-bullying candlelight vigil and rally is set for 6 p.m. in the park.

The service is being held in memory of Amanda Todd, 15, of Coquitlam, B.C., who committed suicide last week.  Before taking her life, the teen posted a chilling YouTube video detailing her experiences with bullying.

The rally is being organized by Amanda’s aunt, Truro resident Leana Todd.

The service will include guest speakers Colchester North MLA Karen Casey, Truro-Bible Hill MLA Lenore Zann, and the Cyberbullying Task Force from the Truro Police Service. It will include a moment of silence, music and potentially mental health speakers.
