Crash victim from 102 Highway accident

ELMSDALE - The identity of a passenger killed in a single vehicle crash on Highway 102 has been confirmed as 23 year old Kristen Ryan.

The Port Hastings native was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash between the Enfield and Elmsdale exits on Thursday night. The driver was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Ryan was a five-year member of the volleyball team at Cape Breton University. John Ryan, the director of athletics at the university, said in a release that the young woman was a special member of the Capers family and will be missed.
