Cause of apartment fire still under investigation

The cause of a fire at an apartment building on Elm Street in Truro Thursday night is still under investigation. The fire displaced seven residents and firefighters were able to contain the fire within minutes of arriving on scene.

TRURO - Officials are still investigating the cause of a fire Thursday night that displaced seven residents.

Truro firefighters responded to the call on Elm Street just after 7 p.m. and contained the blaze quickly.

Firefighters kept an eye on the scene throughout the night and an investigation to the cause started in the morning.

Police, EHS and the Red Cross also responded to the scene.

The apartment building, located across the street from the Atlantic Superstore, consists of seven units.
