A collection bin has been placed in the lobby of Mike's Foodland for people to drop off donations.

The events are as follows:

Individuals or two-person teams are invited. A registration fee of $5 will to go to the food bank. A barbecue will be on site from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with proceeds to the food bank as well

Saturday, Oct. 20 - Volunteer collection drive. Volunteers from Neighbours Helping Neighbours will be on hand at Foodland collecting donations from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with additional support from Tri County Ford offering a new truck to hold donations.

Saturday, Oct. 27 - Showdown, it's Ford against Dodge as Foodland owner Mike Belliveau steps up to the challenge of staff a member. Time to be announced. Who will win this unique challenge?

Wednesday, Oct. 31 - Trick-or-Eat, volunteers will be trick-or-treating in the village for food bank donations. Open to all ages. Volunteers names will go into a draw for a pizza party valued at $40.

On top of all that, once again a local tradition will continue when The Halloween House, hosted by Jennifer and Leanne Roberts, opens its spooky doors to the public.

A voluntary donation of canned food for the food bank would be appreciated. It will be open on the night of Oct. 31.
