Christmas recipes wanted for new cookbook

TRURO - The holiday season is a time to celebrate traditions and TC Media is aiming to create a new one for families in this region.

The Truro Daily News and Colchester Weekly News, along with other media outlets in TC Media's northern Nova Scotia Media Group Inc., is launching its inaugural Christmas cookbook.

From main dishes, soups, appetizers, breads, desserts and more, if you've got a good recipe we want it.

"We invite everyone to share their family traditions with us so we can share them with everyone else," said Stephen Currie, director of sales for TC Media northern region.

"This is something that will have a long life and create a new tradition that people will look forward to year after year.

All participants submitting recipes will be eligible for three special draw prices of $150, $100 and $50 gift certificates.

Email your recipes to kgregory@trurodaily.com, mail or drop off attention: Christmas Cookbook, 6 Louise Street, P.O. Box 220, Truro, N.S. B2N 5C3.

The deadline for recipe submissions is Monday, Nov. 5.

About 32,000 copies of the full colour book will be distributed to residents in Colchester, Pictou and Cumberland counties and southern New Brunswick.
