TRURO - A local theatre group offers some comedy beginning tonight at the Marigold Cultural Centre.

Hubtown Theatre will present ‘Looking' tonight, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Marigold on Prince Street in Truro.

‘Looking' was written by Norm Foster and is directed by Rod Deviller and features actors Monica Bailey, Shane Buchanan, Rod DeViller, Brian Yorke and Deb Barnhill. The story is taken from one of Canada's most popular playwrights and focuses on prominent characters Val, an OR nurse, Andy, who is in the storage business, Nina, who is a police officer, and Matt, a radio morning show host. They're middle-aged, single and looking for love.

The fun really begins when Val agrees to meet Andy after answering his personal ad in the newspaper. Nina and Matt are coaxed into joining their friends for support, which results in plenty of romance and laughter.

Tickets cost $17.50 and can be obtained by calling the Marigold box office at 897-4004, dropping into the Marigold or online at www.marigoldcentre.ca.
