TRURO - The Truro-based VON adult day program will be featured on television's Undercover Boss next week.
The national television reality show, which showcases senior executives working undercover in their own companies to investigate how their firms really work, will air for one hour on Thursday, Oct. 4 on the W Network (formerly Women's Television Network) at 10 p.m.
The Undercover Boss journey began in January when Judith Shamian, the VON president in Ottawa, asked Monique Natividad, VON adult day program co-ordinator, to participate in the filming of a documentary on bringing immigrants to Canada for work opportunities. The request was an excuse for the Undercover Boss crew to visit the organization.
A week later, the Ottawa VON headquarters requested Natividad travel to Ottawa to talk about the experience and do more interviews and filming. It was then Natividad became aware of what was truly happening.
The full details of the project will be shown on Undercover Boss next week. Natividad cannot divulge what rewards were received for being a part of the project until after the show airs.
