Truro woman sentenced to probation
TRURO - A 25-year-old Truro woman was given a suspended sentence of probation for 18 months after changing her plea to a number of charges.
Brittney Olivia Mae Clark, of 22 Logan St., was given the same sentence for three charges - one each of assault and assaulting a peace officer on Oct. 20, 2010, in Dartmouth, and one count of breaching an undertaking on May 27, 2012, in Truro.
The sentence comes with conditions, including to report to probation, abstain from possessing and consuming illicit drugs and prescription drugs without a valid prescription, and not attending any establishment where alcohol is the primary product for purchase.
She's to attend any assessment and counselling sessions recommended by her probation officer regarding alcohol and drug use, and domestic violence or anger management. She's also not to associate with anyone with a known criminal record.
Truro man pleads guilty to theft, sentenced to custody
TRURO - Michael Todd Whitman, 35, of 282 James St., Truro, was sentenced to 60 days in custody after pleading guilty to two counts of theft under $5,000.
Whitman was given the same sentence for each count, concurrent to each other.
The incidents occurred Sept. 24 in Truro.
