TRURO - Local residents wishing to participate in a Terry Fox Run on Sunday have three different events to choose from.
Brookfield and Truro are hosting their annual event, with one also being held in Great Village this year.
In Truro, participants can register at the picnic pavilion in Victoria Park at noon, with the walk starting at 1 p.m.
Tickets will be available for purchase on three baskets (valued between $550 and $650 each) and t-shirts will be on sale. Snacks and water will be available for participants.
Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. at both Brookfield and Great Village.
Those participating in Brookfield register at the top of Carter Road. The walk/run begins there and will head toward Carter Falls.
A complimentary barbecue and entertainment will take place at Creelman Park, starting at 2:30 p.m.

In Great Village, the elementary school is the place to be for both registration and the start of the walk.
There is no entry fee and no minimum donation to participate.
Monies raised from the Terry Fox Runs go toward the Terry Fox Foundation, which supports cancer research.
