Volunteers needed to help children with special needs

TRURO - The Parents Supporting Parents Society's board of directors is seeking community members to volunteer their time in support of children with special needs and their families.

The group is looking for committed, enthusiastic individuals who are willing to become active committee members. There are several committees to choose from including fundraising, monthly respite group and networking to name three. This volunteer opportunity is not only open to parents of children with special needs, but to the community in general.

"We are looking for people who believe in the value of the work we do and who want to help us grow our programs to meet the needs in our community," said society chairwoman Barb Weatherbey.
