Walk to cure diabetes

Eight-year-old Mitchell King blows bubbles while waiting for the Walk to Cure Diabetes to start at Victoria Park in Truro on Saturday. The walk, in support of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, raised more than $12,000.

TRURO - Around 100 people gathered in Victoria Park on Saturday to walk in support of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

More than $12,000 was raised during the event, which included refreshments for walkers, activities for kids and live entertainment.
