NORTH RIVER – Ottawa Valley defeated Edmonton 5-0 Thursday morning at the Canadian Under-21 Women’s Fast Pitch Championship here.
The win boosted Ottawa Valley’s record to 3-0, tops in Pool A. Edmonton dropped to 1-2.
In other action, New Brunswick edged Nova Scotia 3-1, Saskatoon Synergy dumped Newfoundland and Labrador 11-0 and Saskatoon G-Force blanked Charlottetown 2-0.
In late Wednesday play, Saskatoon G-Force defeated Mississauga, Ont. 4-3 and Brantford, Ont., upended Quebec 10-5.
Brantford is now 2-0 and leads Pool B.
