NORTH RIVER –  A house in North River was struck by lightning shortly before 5 a.m., Wednesday according to North River fire chief Leroy Hansen.

Hansen said the lightning went right through the house and also hit a big tree on the property.

No fire resulted from the blast, however, and two individuals living in the home were uninjured.
