Former Truro woman charged with murder

TRURO – A former Truro woman has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Ben Hare.

Barbara Elizabeth Marshall, 24, who now currently resides in Halifax, appeared in Truro Provincial Court on Thursday.

She was arrested without incident on Wednesday by the Truro Police Service Criminal Investigation Division with the assistance of the Patrol Division and held overnight in custody.

Hare, 26, died after a brawl took place at a multi-unit apartment building on Lyman Street in Truro on July 8, 2010.

Dustan Joseph Preeper, 24, was charged for the second time with second-degree murder in the death of Hare on Wednesday.

Preeper and Marshall live at the same address in Halifax.
