Crockett Park lease with county to continue

TRURO - The Municipality of Colchester is to continue with a lease agreement for Crockett Park in South Colchester.

The site consists of a roadside picnic park where an annual Canada Day celebration is held as a fundraiser for park upkeep.

The municipality has leased the park since 1994 and the property's owners have expressed a desire to continue the arrangement.

The new lease is for a one-year period at an annual cost of $1.

One of the conditions of the new agreement is that the Crockett Community Park Committee incorporates the site under the Registry or Joint Stocks, in part to reduce the current personal liability risks to committee members.
