Brothers injured during explosion during house renovations in Sydney N.S.

SYDNEY, N.S. - A 41-year-old Sydney man is in a Halifax hospital following an explosion and fire while doing renovations at his home.
Cape Breton Regional Police said the man was working with his brother Monday night when something exploded.
The man was airlifted to Halifax in critical condition.
His 38-year-old brother was being treated at Cape Breton Regional Hospital for burns not considered life-threatening.
No one else was in the house at the time of the explosion and fire, which caused extensive damage.
The cause is being investigated by police and fire officials.
