Trial date set for former Millbrook band administrator
TRURO - A Supreme Court judge and jury were elected for Alexander Cope and Nicole Williams, who appeared in provincial court on Wednesday.
A trial date has been set for November 15.
Cope, 45, of 780 Willow St. in Millbrook, is a former Millbrook band administrator. He and Williams, his common-law wife, are each facing 32 drug- and firearms-related charges that were laid in February.

Bible Hill man fined $1,000 for refusing breathalyser
TRURO - Jeffrey Allan Delaney, of 49 Andy's Ave., Bible Hill, was sentenced in court Wednesday to two years of driving prohibition, two years probation and must pay a fine of $1,000 for refusing to take a breathalyser test.
The 27-year-old must keep the peace, report to a probation officer as directed, attend treatment and counselling as directed, abstain from the consumption, use and possession of alcohol.
Delaney may not be on the premises where alcohol is the primary product of sale.

Truro man loses licence for refusing breathalyser
TRURO - Brian Walter Hubbard, of 95 Golf St., Truro, pleaded guilty to refusing the breathalyser in provincial court on Tuesday.
The 62-year-old was sentenced to one year of driving prohibition and was fined $1,000.

North River man receives probation for failure to comply
TRURO - Cory Tyson MacCallum, of 113 Mountain Lee Rd. in North River, was sentenced to 12 months of probation in provincial court on Wednesday.
MacCallum failed to comply with a probation order to abstain from alcohol or drugs.
The 34-year-old must keep the peace, report to a probation officer as directed and attend treatment and counselling as directed with respect to substance abuse.

Truro man gets probation for exposing private parts in public
TRURO - Kimberly Wade Spencer was given a four month conditional sentence, along with 12 months probation for willfully exposing his private parts in a public place.
Spencer, a Truro resident, also failed to refrain from the use of alcohol and non-prescription drugs, as per a condition in a previous undertaking.
He must obey a curfew of 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. and must reside at 1082 Prince St, Apt. 5.
Spencer must report to a probation officer when required, he may not possess or consume illicit or prescription drugs without a valid prescription, he may not enter or be in the premise where alcohol is the primary product being served and he must undergo counselling regarding substance abuse.
