Running for: District 5 (Salmon River, Murray Siding, Harmony, Camden)
Occupation: Retired school teacher
Family: Married to Nadine Searle, father of two adult children
Hobbies: Coaching volleyball teams and ski clubs.
About George: Initiated grass-roots programs, including Neighbourhood Watch in the Harmony/Camden area, and is a current member of the Friends of Harmony and Camden committee regarding the proposed industrial-wind turbine development in the area.
- Former NSTU union representative for the Chignecto-Central Regional School Board for more than 10 years.

- The industrial-wind turbine development proposed for Harmony and Camden.
- Financial support for local recreational facilities and initiatives in the district to ensure the municipality is engaging its residents and encouraging healthy lifestyles.

Why he would make a good candidate: Recently retired, George is eager to commit his time to helping his community.
Has been a resident of the area for more than 27 years and believes he can improve the District 5 community, while also welcoming the opportunity to be the voice of the local-residents.
