Jud Pearson, returning officer for the Town of Truro, said 100 people voted between 11 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday.

"It's great, the way people are voting. They're continuing to vote, which I like," he said. "You get addicted to watching the number of votes that come in."

As of 5 p.m. on Saturday, a total of 14.3 per cent of eligible voters in the town cast their ballot, for a total of 1,278 people.

Votes by ward:

Ward 1: 443 votes

Ward 2: 475 votes

Ward 3: 360 votes
