Truro - The owners of a building damaged by heavy smoke and fire on the Esplanade earlier this week plan to rebuild.
Partners Wes Haines and Peter Petty are now dealing with their insurance company and hope to start rebuilding in the near future.
The two men purchased the propriety, which is the site of the former Hero's Pub, from local businessman Abdul Rafih about a year ago.
The plan was to build a deli-style restaurant on the ground floor and have a sports bar on the second, Haines told the Truro Daily News.
The fire that damaged the building was deemed accidental by fire investigators and most likely caused by construction equipment.
