Tender called for work on dam

BALMORAL MILLS - A tender has been called for the reconstruction of a dam at the Balmoral Grist Mill near Tatamagouche.
The tendered work involves the construction of a coffer dam, dewatering, dredging, and demolition of existing dam, along with the construction of a walkway spanning the Matheson brook adjacent to the mill.
The tender was called on Oct. 7 and will close on Oct. 23 at p.m.
The museum is a member of the Nova Scotia Museum group and is a working three-storey tall gristmill from 1874, situated in a wooded gorge.
The mill closes for the season on Oct. 15.
