TRURO -- John Gracie is bringing an old-fashioned Christmas to Truro this weekend.
The singer, originally from Glace Bay, will perform Christmas classics at the Marigold Cultural Centre Sunday.
Gracie will perform all the favourite classics of the season in addition to some special songs, including his emotive Cape Breton Christmas Morn.
Gracie was born to a coal-mining family in Glace Bay. His home growing up was a stone's throw away from the Atlantic and his fondest memories and strongest creative influences are times spent along the shore. Gracie's music has taken him across the globe and into the international media.
Gracie will share the Marigold stage with his daughter Samantha as well as well-known harpists Ardyth and Jennifer. The duo will also present Christmas songs and stories.
The Christmas concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 and are available at the Marigold Cultural Centre, MacQuarrie's Pharmasave and online at
