BIBLE HILL - Whether you are a dog handler or just a dog lover the Agridome in Bible Hill is the place to be this weekend.

Dog Club's 40th Anniversary show, said the event would feature some of the finest dogs from the Maritimes, Maine, Quebec and other areas.
"This is their chance to see all the different breeds, to talk to the breeders, to see how these breeds perform and learn about responsible dog ownership," said Ling.
The two-day long show, one of the largest east of Montreal, will be held Saturday and Sunday and will feature at least 259 dogs, representing 88 different breeds.
Ling said there would be a huge display of toy dogs, including Chihuahua, Pomeranian, poodles, pugs and more.
This is the first year the show has been held at the Agridome on the Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition Grounds, and Ling said the large space would allow for four show rings; two for confirmation, one for junior handlers and practice and one for obedience.
The club has also invited an international confirmation judge from Israel, Agnes Ganami-Kertes, along with Nancy Popovich, B.C., and obedience judge Michelle Armitage, of Ottawa.
Ling said there will be many children's activities during the show to encourage young people to learn about the sport.
"They are the backbone of the dog show world," said the chairwoman.
Also included in the show's line-up is an all-breed temperament test, two sanctioned matches and vendor booths.
The Colchester SPCA will be running a canteen featuring home-cooked foods raising funds for the non-profit organization.
More than $2,000 in prizes will be given to successful competitors during the event.
Ling said the entire community is invited to come out and watch the show, however, a small admission fee will be charged at
the door. She reminds people only dogs entered in the competition will be allowed in the building.

Traditionally the show will run from 9am to roughly 5 - 5:30pm, Saturday and Sunday. -
