TRURO – The Marigold Cultural Centre is hosting its annual garden party fundraiser late next month.

David McKillop will open his home at 87 Queen St. for the occasion, which runs from 6 to 9 p.m. on Aug. 22.

McKillop’s home is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year and the garden party will feature a mix of heritage, arts and food.

The evening will include complimentary wine, food by Fusion Catering, live entertainment and a special performance by Brookfield’s Anne Janelle Davison. A variety of art will also be on display and for sale.

Tickets are $40 each and are available at the two Scotiabank locations in Truro. The bank will make a matching donation for each ticket sold, with all the funds raised going back into programming at the Marigold.
