Bus leaves road in whiteout conditions - no injuries reported

Students aboard a school bus on the Fort Belcher Road in Lower Onslow had to be evacuated after the vehicle went into a ditch during extreme whiteout conditions just before noon today.

A person at the scene said no injuries were reported among the students who were being sent home early because of the storm from Central Colchester Jr. High School.

Students were transported to another bus that was sent in to take them home.
