TRURO - Fresh off two East Coast Music Award wins, David Myles is bringing his songs to the Marigold this weekend.

The New Brunswick native will perform at the Marigold Cultural Centre on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Kim Wempe is a special guest for the show.

Myles released his sixth album - ‘Into The Sun' - this past October and the first single, ‘Simple Pleasures,' picked up the East Coast Music Awards for Songwriter of the Year and Song of the Year. The awards were handed out just last weekend during the music event held in Moncton, N.B.

So far this year, Myles has had a television placement for ‘Simple Pleasures,' ‘Run,' and ‘Ooh La La' from his latest album on Packed to the Rafters, Australia's highest rated drama series. He completed his first tour of Australia in the middle of January and performed a number of shows in Ontario and British Columbia toward the end of March.

Tickets for the Saturday night performance are $25 and are available at the Marigold on Prince Street.
